A break from the rain.

Just saw Jim Cantori on the Weather Channel live from Tallahassee. The woman he was talking to was telling him about the new alligators she saw in the lake flooding her backyard yesterday. Jeeze. Our rain total for yesterday was 8.13 inches. We have a mess to clean up in our yard today; there are branches and little sticks covering the ground. If this is the worst flooding our neighborhood ever sees, we're in a great location to ride out a storm. The lower parts of our neighborhood had streets under water, but we live on a hill that keeps the water moving down to one of the lakes.

Looks like we'll get more rain over the next few days but without all the wind. Guess we're headed to Target (thank goodness they haven't lost power or closed!) to get more puzzles.
